We descend (by foot) to the nearby medieval village of Šmartno.  A short walk through the narrow streets, called "gase"in the local dialect, takes us to the time when Šmartno was an important military fort on the Austrian-Venetian border. We visit the majestic Church of St. Martin, painted by renowned Slovenian artist Tone Kralj, ethnological museum Briška hiša, Brda house, and the House of culture. In Dobrovo we visit the castle from the early 17th century with a permanent collection of world famous artist Zoran Mušič. We stop at the Castle wine cellar. Tasting of wine with refreshments and an opportunity to purchase souvenirs. We continue our trip towards the valley of the stream Kožbanjšček. We stop by the Krčnik picturesque gorge with the natural bridge, which ranks among one of the most beautiful bridges in Slovenia. We end our trip with a late lunch with a typical Brda cuisine on the tourist farm.
